The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney
Diseases (NIDDK) invites investigator-initiated research
project applications for ancillary studies to ongoing
studies such as those in the GpCRC supported by the
Institute. The goal of any ancillary study must
complement but not overlap or interfere with the primary
and secondary objectives of the GpCRC. Moreover,
each applicant must agree to abide by GpCRC procedures
for conducting these studies.
Qualified and interested investigators are invited to
consult the GpCRC Ancillary Studies Policy below. We
highly recommend investigators to explore the NIDDK
Central Biorepository which includes the publicly
available GpCRC clinical data and bio-samples collected
in GpCRC. Please visit the NIDDK Central Biorepository
for the completed GpCRC Registry studies:
Gastroparesis Registry and
Gastroparesis Registry 2 and completed treatment
studies:
APRON,
NORIG,
GLUMIT-DG. We also recommend that interested
investigators contact one of the
GpCRC Steering Committee liaisons
for potential collaborations and ancillary studies
proposals. All proposed ancillary studies collaborations
should be submitted to the Ancillary Studies Committee
through the Scientific Data Research Center in time for
subsequent review, prior to submission to a funding
agency. The GpCRC Ancillary Studies and Steering
Committees meet monthly with mutual aims to provide
review and approval of internal and external ancillary
studies and sample and data stewardship.
